Aaron Arnold is in his sixth year as Head Coach of the Highland Community College football team program and eighth season overall as a coach for the Scotties on the gridiron. He is the 27th Head Coach in Highland football history. 

In his five seasons as Head Coach the Arnold has led Highland to a top four finish in the KJCCC in four of the five years and three seasons with winning records. Arnold has amassed a record of 28-24 in his five seasons and his 28 wins make him the third winningest coach in HCC history. 

Scotties best season under the guidance of Arnold came in 2016 when Highland finished 7-4 on the season and 4-3 in Conference and finished the year ranked #16 in the final NJCAA National rankings. In 2018 the Scotties posted a 6-4 record and 4-3 mark in the KJCCC finishing fourth in the Conference and ranked 17th in the final NJCAA rankings.

During his tenure at Highland Coach Arnold has has 66 players earn All-Conference honors, two KJCCC Players of the Year, nine players earn All-American including at least one the last four years, 14 All-Academic honorees and coached three players who made it to the NFL. During his five years as Head Coach he has sent 50 players to NCAA Division I programs including 15 from the 2018 team and has sent many more to other four-year levels. Scotties have averaged 26.3 points per game on offensive during his coaching tenure which is the highest scoring average of any coach in school history. 

Prior to Highland the Scott City, Kansas native got his coaching career under way at Kansas State from 2008-11 before moving to Texas Tech for 2011 and then came Highland were he first served as offensive line coach before moving into the head coaching role. 

Arnold has not only coached at the JUCO level but played at this level and played in the KJCCC. He played two seasons (1999 & 2000) at Garden City helping the Broncbusters win the Conference and make appearances in teh the Real Dairy Bowl and Valley of the Sun Bowl with the team finishing at NJCAA Nation Runner-up in 2000. Arnold also earned second team All-KJCCC honors at center in sophomore year in 2000. After Garden City Arnold transferred to Kansas State where he was a two-time letterman and played in the Insight.com Bowl and Holiday Bowl with the Wildcats. 

Coach Arnold owns a Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University.
