Gilbert White joined Highland Community College in 2020 as a Defensive Backs Coach and moved to Wide Receiver Coach for the 2021 season.
The Chicago native came to Highland after serving as a Defensive Backs Coach at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa for the 2019 season. Before Graceland, White was the Secondary Coach at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois. He served as the JV Defensive Coordinator while assisting in football operations and working as the Video Coordinator.
White broke into the college coaching as a Graduate Assistant and Defensive Backs Coach at Missouri Baptist University in 2015 and also worked as the Video Coordinator. Before that he was at Douglas MacArthur high school in Decatur, Illinois from 2009-2014 coaching football.
White played collegiate football at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. While at Millikin, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and went on to earn his master’s degree at Missouri Baptist University.
