The 2016 season will be Jarrett Stanton’s second with Highland. He will be coaching the wide receivers along with being the special team’s coordinator. Last season, Stanton coached the running backs and coached Isaiah Ming to 1st Team All-Jayhawk honors. Previous to this, he was a graduate assistant at Olivet Nazarene University in Illinois. There he coached defensive backs. During the 2014 season, he coached one MSFA All-Conference player. Prior to Olivet, Jarrett worked at Mayville State University in North Dakota. There he coached the defensive secondary as well as being the special team’s coordinator. During the 2013 season, he coached three NSAA 1st Team All-Conference defensive backs. The secondary finished in the top five in the NAIA in pass defense and was first in the nation in pass defense efficiency. The defense that season also finished in the top 12 in the NAIA in scoring defense and top 10 in interceptions.

Jarrett attended Sterling College in Sterling, KS. There he was a three-year letter winner playing as a wide receiver, corner back, and multiple special teams. Stanton graduated from Sterling with his B.S. in Athletic Training in 2013.

Stanton is a Kansas native and attended Holcomb High School where he graduated in 2009. He was a three- year starter for the Longhorns and an All-League selection his senior season.
