Coach Nick Brungardt is starting his college coaching career with a great deal of excitement and motivation to make a positive impact on the players. Not only does Coach Brungardt want to see the athletes at HCC succeed on the field, but also in the classroom and beyond.

Coach Brungardt played high school football at Lansing High School (KS) and college football at Benedictine College, where he played on the offensive and defensive line. After his college career was over, Brungardt coached the offensive and defensive lines for two seasons at his former high school in Lansing. In 2015, Coach Brungardt started his professional career at Burlingame High School (KS), where he taught high school Social Studies and served as the defensive coordinator for the Burlingame football team. Over the course of seven seasons, Brungardt’s unit was consistently one of the top defenses in Kansas high school football. While at Burlingame, Coach Brungardt also had the opportunity to coach two Kansas Shrine Bowl players

Football has always been a passion for Coach Brungardt, and he is excited to start this new chapter in his life at Highland Community College.
