Coach Brandenburg is an Indiana native and earned his bachelor's in Sports Management and a Certificate in Business Administration from IUPUI (Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis).
Coach Brandeburg's past coaching experience includes serving as assistant and head boys basketball coach at the high school level, a coach with Hoop Dreams AAU, and an independent player development coach. He has been an independent professional skills trainer for five years. He's worked with Butler standout and current Spain professional Paul Jorgensen, Western Michigan's Markeese Hastings, Darnell Butler from Middle Tennessee State and University of Southern Indiana, Don Coats from Missouri Southern and now Parkland College, and Butler's standout guard Jayden Taylor.
Coach Brandenburg was mentored by well-respected NBA trainer, Joey Burton. Most recently, Coach Brandenburg was the head JV coach and varsity assistant at one of the top Indiana high schools, Warren Central, located on the far east side of Indy. Highland Community College will be his first college coaching job.
