Edita Sklenska earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after a strong performance at the Northwest Open in Indoor track.

Sklenska took the silver in the 400 meter dash posting a time of 59.24 out of 22 competitors, while she helped better the 4x400 meter relay team’s National qualifying time also on the day. Sklenska, partnered with three other Scotties and posted a time of 4:02.38 to place fourth in the 4x400 meter relay. She also earned eighth place in the 200 meter dash behind a time of 26.36.

Back before the holiday break Edita competed that KU Bob Timmons Challenge and was part of the 4x400 meter relay team that qualified for Nationals behind a time of 4:04.71, while also taking seventh place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.24.
