Bailey Lacy earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” after picking up three wins inside the circle last week for the Highland softball team.

Lacy helped the Scotties finish last week with two wins over Fort Scott has she earned the win in both games. The freshman started game one at Fort Scott and tossed a five inning shutout where she gave up only two hits and one walk, while striking out five. She came back to pitch in game two with the Scotties down and she tossed the final five innings of game two holding the Greyhounds to one run during that time frame giving up just six hits and one walk with two strikeouts.

Lacy also picked up the win the 6-5 walk-off win for the Scotties over Johnson County as she tossed seven innings in the game giving up five runs on nine hits and one walk, while striking out three. She also tossed three innings in a loss to Cowley.

On the season Lacy has made 17 appearances in the circle for Highland with 15 starts and carries an 11-5 record with 10 complete games. In 85.1 innings Lacy has given up 96 hits and 34 walks, while striking out 46 and has a 4.10 ERA.
