Tiana Gipson earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” as she helped the Highland women’s basketball team move to 13-0 on the season with wins over MCC and Missouri Baptist JV.
Gipson has continued to lead the charge for the Scotties this season as she tallied 27 and 30 point performances in the wins over MCC and Missouri Baptist JV. The sophomore notched 27 points against MCC on 10-18 shooting including 6-14 from three-point range, while adding six rebounds, three assists and two steals. She followed that up with a 30 point output on 11-18 shooting going 8-13 from three-point range against Missouri Baptist JV adding four rebounds, three steals and two assists.
On the year Gipson is averaging 24 points per game on 49.8% shooting and shooting 42.9% from three-point range, while adding 2.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and four steals per game.
Gipson has scored 312 points on the year which ranks second in the Nation in NJCAA DII and her 24 points per game ranks third. She leads the Nation in made three-pointers with 67 and ranks second in made field goals with 110, while ranking fourth in steals with 52 and 12th in steals per game (4).
