Jessica Monroe earns "Scottie Athlete of the Week" honors after tying the school record in Indoor Track and Field for the high jump by leaping 5’07 at the Jayhawk Classic last week.

Monroe’s jump was an improvement on her National qualify mark in the event this season and matched the school record helping her to fourth place overall in the event at the Jayhawk Classic.

The leap of 5’07 is currently tied for the best high jump mark in NJCAA this Indoor season. With her qualifying for Nationals it marks the second straight year Monroe will compete at the Indoor National meet in the high jump.
