The first game of the Allen Community College tournament in Iola, KS for the HCC Scotties was against Div. 1 #10 Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. With a back and forth battle throughout the game, the Scotties proved their diligence as they pulled out the win 61-56.
Freshman Mariane Carvalho put up 19 points and 7 rebounds with sophomores Jameka Dowell and Shaiann Tramble also in double digit points with 13 and 12 each. Tramble came up with 7 total rebounds , 2 assists, and 4 steals as well. Szonja Vukov lead the team in rebounds with 12, had 2 steals, and came up with 4 points on the game.
The Scotties will play their second and last game of the Allen CC tournament on Saturday at 12:00pm vs Redlands Community College.
