With a win in their first game at the HCC invitational, the Scotties stepped up and took control of their second game of the day against Barton County Community College. The team knew they would have to fight the whole game. With the first two sets going in the Scotties favor, 25-17 and 27-25, the third set proved that Barton was there to compete; taking the set 25-17. The Scotties came right back and showed resiliency to beat the Cougars 25-18 in the fourth set.

Tyrecia Lukes, Leslie Polanco, and Shailey Caudle owned the offense as they totaled 40 of the 54 total kills in the 4 set match. Lukes hit an impressive .381 hitting percentage while Polanco added 4 service aces. Megan Rhule continued to add to her set assists as she ended the game with 32.

The Scotties spread their digs across board. Polanco led the pack with 15 while Emily Nelson added 9 and Caudle and Rhule added 8 a piece. Josie Vitosh remains reliable as she added in 15 set assists, 12 digs, and 2 kills to help lead their team to a big victory.

The Scotties will go into Saturday being 2-0 in the tournament and ready to face Southwestern CC and Wentworth Academy at 9 and 1.
