Lincoln, Neb. ─ On Sept. 17, 2022, Highland's Cross Country team had their second meet of the season at the Woody Greeno Invite held at Nebraska Wesleyan in Lincoln, Nebraska. Three men finished the race for Highland with Tyrese Bishop improving by 50 seconds and Sam Pyle improving by 20 seconds over their times in the first meet.

Coach Graham mentioned, "This is a result of the hard work they put in at practice." Clayon Cooper competed in his first meet this year, as did Alexis Hamilton, who is primarily a javelin thrower. Alexis was the sole female competitor for the Scotties. 

Coach Graham also stated, "I'm really proud of these guys and their willingness to get in the trenches and work every day to get better and show their teammates what it takes to be a Scottie Cross Country runner."
