The Highland Scotties Track & Field teams traveled to Coffeyville Community College last weekend to compete in the Region VI meet. The women's team finished 12^th in the region, scoring 16 points and the men's team finished 14^th, scoring 6 points.
 
The Scotties returned to Highland with six All-Region VI award winners: 

• Dayjahney Hibbert – 4^th in high jump
• Dayjahney Hibbert – 4^th in triple jump
• Alexis O'Farrell – 4^th in javelin
• Brandi Dunn – 8^th in triple jump
• Romario Taylor – 6^th in 400m
• Andwele Shurland – 7^th in pole vault 

This weekend The Scotties will be taking 6 athletes to the NJCAA National Championships in Hobbs, New Mexico. Head Coach Kathy Graham said, "We are expecting some great competition to be brought by these fine young men and women. We also look forward to next year, with the new recruits we are signing and the progress that is being made by the returning athletes, as well as the team culture that is being established here at Highland Community College."
