PRATT, Kan. - Opening the back half of its Jayhawk Conference schedule Wednesday, Highland (3-6-3, 2-3-1 KJCCC) found a pair of second-half goals in a comeback attempt, but fell 4-2 to Pratt (5-5-1, 2-2-1 KJCCC).
After battling to a 0-0 draw against the Beavers in the teams' earlier meeting, Highland found itself chasing the match at halftime after three Pratt goals.
Pratt extended to a 4-0 lead in the 60th minute, but
Paige Carrier was able to pull a goal back for the Scotties in the 68th minute.
Abby Rash found net in the 74th minute to pull Highland within two, but HCC wasn't able to narrow the gap further.
Highland continues its road swing on Saturday, taking on Neosho County at 1 p.m.
