Game 2 on Saturday started off in favor of the TBirds as they got their bats swinging off of HCC sophomore
Tanner Dungan, and took an early 3-0 lead but the Scotties battled back scoring 2 in the 3rd inning with one being an RBI by
Mitchell Austin.
Jarod Kullberg came in to pitch in the bottom of the fifth to take on a 6-2 lead by the TBirds. Freshman,
Cedric Rodriguez stepped in and hit a bomb over the left field fence late in the game closing the gap 4-7 and that is how the series would end against Cloud County CC.
The Highland Scottie baseball team is now 2-3 overall for the 2017 spring season and will travel to Emporia, KS to face the JV Hornets team on Tuesday, February 21st at 3:00PM in 1, 9 inning game.
