Jahmal Wynter earns “Scottie Athlete of the Week” honors after he helps the Scottie football team move to 6-3 on the season with a 24-21 win over Independence last week.
Wynter had his second 10 tackle game of the season with both coming in the last three games. The sophomore defensive lineman was the second leading tackler on the day against Independence registering 10 tackles and added a ½ sack, also.
On the season Wynter has 43 tackles good for fifth on the team this season. He is averaging 5.4 tackles per game, while having recorded 2.5 sacks and three tackles for loss. In his career he has 55 tackles and four sacks in 16 games at Highland.
