HILLSBORO, Mo. - On the road for the second time in 2026, Highland (3-4) tried to mount a fourth-quarter comeback, but wasn't able to claw back the deficit in an 82-67 loss to Jefferson College (7-6) on Saturday. Leilani McNeill and Brittany Jones each notched 14 points on the afternoon.

Shamiah Johnson (13 pts) and Zoe Clarke (11 pts) also finished in double digits for the Scotties across 40 minutes.

Highland opens conference play on Wednesday, hosting Johnson County Community College in a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
