McNamara Grabs Fourth KJCCC Player of the Week Award

COLBY, Kan. - For the fourth time this season and the second time in as many weeks, Cameron McNamara was named the Division 2 KJCCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, after helping Highland close out the 2024 calendar with a perfect 14-0 record. It is the fifth career weekly accolade for the sophomore.

The Downington, Pa., post player picked up her second double-double of the year with 28 points and 15 rebounds as Highland knocked off number 15 North Central Missouri College 71-55 on Tuesday in a battle of ranked teams before closing out the week with a perfect five-of-five third quarter from the floor as the Scotties blew open a hard-fought battle against North Platte Community College to win 77-48.

McNamara currently sits atop the KJCCC leaderboard in a pair of categories on opposite ends of the court. She leads the league in scoring pace (20.6 pts/gm) and overall scoring (288 pts) and also leads in blocks with 33 and sits second in the league with 26 steals.

Nationally, McNamara ranks fourth in points and blocks, and her 115 field goal makes on the year are second only to Northeast Community College's Aaliyah Jones, who has 131 makes.

The Scotties return to the court on Saturday, Jan. 4, tipping off at North Platte Community College at 2 p.m.
