Fifth Player of the Week Nod For McNamara Opens 2025 Calendar For Scotties

COLBY, Kan. - For the third straight week and the fifth time this season, Cameron McNamara was named the Division 2 KJCCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. This is the sixth weekly honor for the Downington, Pa., sophomore, as the Scotties continue their perfect 15-0 start to the 2024-25 campaign.

McNamara powered Highland to a comeback win at North Platte Community College to open the 2025 calendar year, scoring 24 points and adding 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the year. The Scotties answered a two-point halftime deficit with a 15-8 third quarter surge en route to a 64-56 win.

She currently ranks fifth in the NJCAA in scoring with 312 points and third with 126 field goals, both also conference highs. On the defensive end, she also ranks fourth nationally and tops in the league with 36 blocks.

Highland opens the conference slate on Saturday, hosting Hesston College in a 1 p.m. tipoff.
